The Facts
The component of Vitamin B6, Pyridoxal phosphate (PLP) is a co factor for a large number of enzymes catalysing reactions of amino acids (the building blocks of protein).  This component is also essential for the release of glucose from glycogen and the metabolism of some lipids

 

It is required for neurotransmitter synthesis as well as hemoglobin synthesis and function.
